Self-portraits don’t have to be a direct copy image of someone’s facial features to be considered a portrait. In this work I explored my past, present and future, and where I stand in the world. Fears, guilt’s of the past, and the projection of the future are main points of acknowledgment.
On Monday morning June 30th, my very close friend Taylor Yarborough passed away. Taylor was an amazing spirit, and a wonderful person. Best described by Nick Corvinus another close friend of Taylor and myself, “Some people say funny things, and other people say things funny, but Taylor did both.” It’s hard to find peace in a death of a close friend, especially when that life ends so suddenly and abruptly at the age of 20. My heart goes out to the many people who knew and loved Taylor, and even more so to Taylor’s family, Taylor you will be remembered always.
